HELP NEEDED--"Letters of Objection" to the Suncor Wind Project DO make a difference in WAIT-PW and Plympton-Wyoming voicing a strong message to Suncor, the MOE, and our politicians--we do not want wind turbines built in our community. WAIT-PW set up an information table at Sunripe Produce Store on April 19 and 20. Total Objection Letters for Friday/Saturday = 172. Petition signatories were about the same. You can still Download a PDF copy, or Word Document, for submission. Every voice helps! Complete the form. For PDF, scan it back to a digital form. Word document version can be filled in and saved to your computer. E-mail them back to WAIT-PW at the address on the form (top). OR e-mail to all the recipients shown on the top of the form, and include our members of parliaments at the bottom of the sheet. Objection letters should be sent as soon as possible. WAIT-PW will submit all letters we receive, to intended recipients. Our Members of Parliaments e-mails are:
MPP Bob Bailey's e-mail is bob.baileyco@pc.ola.org
Mp Pad Davidson's e-mail is pat.davidson@parl.gc.ca
UPDATE: Land leases seem to be a very hot topic around Lambton County at this time. Please see our Land Leases page for more information.

Camlachie Final Public Meeting-Suncor CedarPoint Wind Project
Our MPP, Mr. Bob Bailey and WAIT-PW Board Member, Ingrid Willemsen, stand in front of a large drawing, showing the location of wind projects in our larger general area.

We had a terrific turn out at the Camlachie Community Centre on April 2nd, despite some cool breezy weather. Suncor held their Third Public Meeting indoors, and WAIT-PW set up an information area outdoors. Many people stopped to chat with us, read the handouts and signs that were available, complete and sign official letters of objection to the CedarPoint project, sign our petition for presentation in the Ontario legislature, and donate to WAIT, and the legal defence fund. We also welcome some new volunteers who have committed to help us in the coming days. WAIT-PW was proud to fulfil our mission statement, shown near the bottom of this page.
In summary, we estimate that hundreds of people came out in support of our PW Council and WAIT-PW. We gathered 379 signed objection letters in 3 hours, about $3,000 in donations were collected, and we have many more signatures on our petition to our Ontario Liberal government.
We have an online, important official "Objection Form Letter" that many people signed at Camlachie on April 2nd, to officially object to the CedarPoint Wind Project. These objection letters carry weight and cannot be conveniently ignored. You can Download a PDF copy, or Word Document, for submission.

WAIT-PW welcomes C.O.R.E. (Conservation of Rural Enniskillen) to the growing list of citizen-groups who oppose industrial wind turbines in their communities. Welcome aboard!
Petitions to Stop Wind Turbines

Last year, Plympton-Wyoming Council passed by-laws governing the installation of wind turbines to protect the safety of our residents. P-W Council was very pro-active, and one of the leaders in the province to enact such by-laws. Now, Suncor Energy is challenging these by-laws in court. No date has been set for the proceedings as of yet.
WAIT-PW supports our council 100% on this challenge. Donations to our "Legal Defence Fund" can be made at any branch of Southwest Regional Credit Union. Simply inform the teller that you wish to make a direct donation to the WAIT-PW legal defence fund. Alternatively, cheques can be made out to The Town of Plympton-Wyoming and mailed or taken to:
We sincerely thank you for your support! Receipts will be issued for donations of $100 or more. The Town of Plympton-Wyoming

Where did WAIT-PW begin?
After several informal meetings beginning March 18th, 2012, a handful of Plympton-Wyoming's concerned residents formally organized our Board of Directors on March 31st. We will be very busy in the coming days, bringing you many insights into the wind farms that are planned for this area. Stay up-to-date as this web site grows and we put our many plans into action.
